Woman and Giant Ocotillo - 11 x14 giclée print
This 11 x14 inch unframed giclée print with semi-gloss finish.
The ocotillo plant blooms with fiery orange tips, annually. Some desert folks make fences or shade with ocotillo. The spiny surface is a defense for this other worldly, desert plant. They populate the Chihuahuan desert where I built off-grid over 8 years and designed prints.

I design images to evoke a sense of belonging. My print work often explores the gravity of encounters with iconic subjects and impressions resounding in the imagination. These digital art prints become a bridge back to a rare experience, a multi-sensory recollection or inspiration we carry with us from merging our presence with the presence of imbued subjects. In my process, photos are transformed into a medium that appears stylistically in-between photography, graphics, drawing, painting or analog printing. Color, texture, whimsy and principles of balance help to illuminate the feeling of "joining with" powerful places or celebrating naturally artistic moments between people that surface in “the everyday.”Digital effects contemporize memories, giving a fresh experience of lingering influence.Sometimes in my designing process, new, ineffable forms emerge. If so compelled, I print them, as well.
